Unhygienic practices can lead to many problems and one of those problems is the mildew in the scalp. Mildew basically is a fungus that grows in the damp and moist areas.   • Another method is to make a DIY pre-shampoo and that can be made with 2 tablespoon of tea tree oil and 20 drops of grapefruit oil mixed with 2 cups of water and then spray it on the areas where there is mildew. Spray more in the concentrated areas. Let it stay for 20 minutes then rinse it off.
